Over 40 large-scale models demonstrate Tianjin's new productive forces

The 2024 World Intelligence Exposition (WIE) has dropped the curtain. 

Many intelligent industries from Tianjin has attended the expo with their newest scientific products, having listened to the most high-end artificial intelligence seminars, embraced the strongest atmosphere of the AI industry, and promoted their self-developed intelligent products.

Behind these passionate and busy figures is the strong confidence that the expo and Tianjin, where entrepreneurship flourishes, have brought to them.

The hottest place on the expo is the large-scale AI models exhibition at the Hall N25 in the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin), where 37 domestic AI enterprises including Baidu, Alibaba, and iFlytek displayed over 40 large-scale models of AI technology including Baidu Wenxin Word, Ali Cloud Tong Yi, Iflyspark and other models to present the cutting-edge applications of generative artificial intelligence in various fields.

“What's so interesting about Tianjin?”“What's so fun about Tianjin? That's too much!” 

At the iFlytek booth, the audience casually asked a question, and the Spark Model immediately answered in fluent Tianjin dialect.

Read a paragraph of a text. Inputting one's own voice through the“one sentence voice reproduction” function, the large-scale model can not only use each person's own voice to“talk”, but also express happiness, apology, comfort, coquetry and other emotions.

Except for the Iflyspark, the National Supercomputing Center presented its vertical industry models“Tianhe Lingshu” and“Tianhe Qingyun” in the fields of TCM acupuncture and environmental protetion and treatment for the first time. Shengshu Technology brought China's first self-developed video large-scale model Vidu.

Equally striking is the first large-scale model in the country to be tailored for industrial scenes.

“This is our Feifan vertical class large-scale model base, trained by more than 1 billion industrial high-quality data sets generated by a combination of four scenarios: digital production, quality testing, safety management, and logistics. As long as the relevant parameters and problems detected are fed to the large model, it can quickly and accurately identify the problem and provide a solution.”

In the exhibition area of Fitow (Tianjin) Testing Technology Co., LTD., Chen Liming, director of research and development of the enterprise, demonstrated the large-scale model and said.

“Now our large-scale model can be used in automotive, aerospace, medicine, power energy and other industrial scenes, effectively improve the product qualification rate and extend the production time, so that the generated artificial intelligence gradually become the new momentum to help improve the quality and efficiency of the industrial field.”

“To develop new quality productivity, we must give full play to the engine role of artificial intelligence. By promoting the new with 'new' and improving the quality with wisdom, every enterprise and every person can enjoy the efficiency dividend brought by AI, and can become the main body of innovation and creation.”

At the opening ceremony of the 2024 WIE, Yang Yuanqing, chairman and CEO of Lenovo Group, delivered a keynote speech entitled“artificial intelligence enables new quality productivity and promotes intelligent and green development of Chinese manufacturing”. 

He believes that China's manufacturing industry has a strong foundation, and it should actively explore new scenarios and new applications of“AI plus”, promote the intelligent and green changes of Chinese manufacturing with the“integration of numbers and realities” and the“superposition of numbers and intelligence”, and promote Chinese manufacturing to the middle and high-end of the global industrial chain and value chain.
