​Hongxing Village， Taiping Town， Binhai New Area： Accelerate the Release of Economic Potential Centering on Characteristic and Green Development

Peach garden by the water and energy production on the water． In 2023， Hongxing Village in Taiping Town， Binhai New Area， Tianjin City， located on the banks of the New Ziya River， no longer relies solely on peach planting， and has a more diversified industrial format instead．＂It has revitalized the rural deserted and idle land， and ushered in photovoltaics＂． At the same time， it has tapped the pit－pond resources， adopted the＇Aquaculture－complementary Solar Power Station＇ mode， in which upper layer is used for power generated， fish farming is implemented underwater， and leisure and sightseeing tours are inaugurated around， and propelled the integrated development of primary， secondary and tertiary industries， to show the villagers a brand new way of production and life and energy consumption，＂ said Li Guang， First Secretary of Hongxing Village．

Develop and Expand Characteristic Industry

Hongxing Village has taken the＂conference exhibition and marketing＂ mode， invited domestic and foreign merchants to experience the harvest of peach and other agricultural products in Hongxing Village through the peach marketing activities， and conducted unified sales after negotiation． The economic benefits arising from the project are owned by the village collective， with an annual income of nearly 110，000 yuan and a profit of 15，000 yuan．

＂We have promoted facility agriculture in the village， realized the diversified planting of greenhouse fruits and vegetables， provided customers with richer quality agricultural products as well as picking experience services of agricultural products online to offline by virtue of the excellent habitat and boutique homestay in Hongxing Village， increased the added value of agricultural products， and broadened the channels of income generation，＂ introduced Tian Bingsheng， Secretary of the General Party Branch of Hongxing Village and Director of the Village Committee．

With peach planting as the main characteristic industry， Hongxing Village has begun to seek a diversified industrial development path． Based on its resource endowment， Hongxing Village has further formed an industrial system dominated by pig breeding and dairy cattle breeding．

＂Originally， the village earned about 300 yuan per mu of land a year， but now we have contracted the land to Tianjin New Hope Liuhe Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co．， Ltd． at a price of 900 yuan per mu annually， to increase the villagers＇ land contracting fee． As a result， a growth in the annual income of the village collective by more than 900，000 yuan was achieved． In the meantime， the pig farm has also provided many labor employment opportunities for Hongxing Village and the surrounding villagers， and further raised the villagers＇ income，＂ said Tian Bingsheng．

In addition to pig breeding， a dairy cattle custom feeding project is also a new way to get rich and increase income in Hongxing Village． It is reported that the leading dairy enterprise in Tianjin and Hongxing Village have carried out the dairy cattle custom feeding project， and the income of 360，000 yuan obtained from the project is returned to Hongxing Village every year， effectively improving the collective operating income of the village．

Aquaculture－complementary Solar Power Station Brings Ecological Benefits to Villagers

In mid－April 2023， good news came from Hongxing Village．＂We have successfully introduced social capital and implemented the village－wide distributed＇photovoltaic ＋＇ green energy project． This project has now gone through the preliminary decision－making approval and is expected to be completed within 2023． The project doesn＇t require villagers to pay any money， and is undertaken by the developer，＂ said Li Guang excitedly．

Hongxing Village and CHD， a central enterprise based in Tianjin， signed a cooperation intention to introduce investment and＂photovoltaic ＋＂ green energy projects to fully revitalize the village＇s unused roofs and roadside space， and push the transformation of the village＇s industrial development． At the same time， it has tapped the pit－pond resources in the village， adopted the＇Aquaculture－complementary Solar Power Station＇ mode， in which the upper layer is used for power generated， fish farming is implemented underwater， and leisure and sightseeing tours are inaugurated around， to raise the efficiency of industry and the income of villagers．

Tian Bingsheng said：＂Hongxing Village has an installed photovoltaic capacity of 1 MW， and expected annual power generation of 1．22 million kWh． That can save 379 tons of standard coal， and cut down carbon dioxide emissions by about 1，151 tons， sulfur dioxide emissions by about 35 tons， and nitrogen oxide emissions by 17 tons． According to the agreement， the enterprise installs photovoltaic panels in the village and pays us rent every year． That can bring operating income to the village collective for 25 consecutive years， totaling 1 million yuan． In addition to these revenues being used for public expenses of the village collective， we also plan to put aside part of the funds for village－level public welfare undertakings．＂
