Tianjin’s Jizhou “Pear Garden Romance” Cultural and Tourism Festival kicks off
On Apr 15, the 15th Tianjin's Jizhou"Pear Garden Romance" Cultural and Tourism Festival kicked off at the Limutai Natural Scenic Area in Jizhou district.
This event is hosted by the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Jizhou District. The main venue is located in the Limutai Natural Scenic Area, with the sub-venues located in Tuanshanzi village of Xiaying town and the Hongxiang Pear Orchard Base of Luozhuangzi town. During the event, all venues have arranged exciting programs and activities.
Eight themed areas around the traditional Chinese folk festival"Flower Festival" have been set up in the main venue at Limutai Natural Scenic Area.
The activities at the sub-venues enable visitors to experience family-friendly entertainment activities and enjoy performances, such as African drums. In the Hongxiang Pear Orchard Base of Luozhuangzi town, with 3,000 acres of pear blossoms in full bloom, there are ancient-style performances, agricultural product displays, and fruit tree adoption programs.
From Apr 15 to 23 and during the May Day holiday, visitors can enjoy these unique performances and have a taste of local intangible cultural heritage delicacies and seasonal fresh fruit.
The"Pear Garden Romance" Tourism and Culture Festival is an important brand for spring tourism in Jizhou district and an important part of Tianjin's tourism and cultural activities. As a"Millennium Ancient County" designated by the United Nations, Jizhou district has a long history of pear tree cultivation. There are over 50,000 pear trees with ages ranging from decades to thousands of years, mainly distributed in the northern mountainous areas, covering more than 100 tourist villages in 11 towns, as well as more than 20 scenic spots, such as Panshan, Huangyaguan Great Wall, and Baxian Mountain, forming a unique spring tourism landscape in Jizhou.
This month, Jizhou district will hold additional cultural and tourism activities, including the Anping Peach Blossom Festival in Chutouling town and Maojiayu Potherb Festival. Blueberries and cherries are also coming to market, providing visitors with both visual and gustatory delights.
