2023 Xiqing Cultural Tourism Year kicks off

On Mar 3， the launch ceremony of the 2023 Xiqing Cultural Tourism Year was held， aiming to promote the in－depth integration of culture and tourism， make full use of the advantages of local cultural tourism resources， and promote the high－quality development of the cultural tourism industry．

Zhu Caibin， secretary of the CPC Xiqing Committee， delivered a welcome speech． He pointed out that Xiqing district， as part of the first batch of national cultural and tourism consumption pilot areas， and the first batch of municipal tourism demonstration areas， is the hub for different cultures， such as ancient town culture， New Year picture culture， folk culture， and Jingwu culture， which has formed the unique charm of the region． Xiqing district will take this activity as an opportunity to continually focus on cultural tourism， ecological tourism and rural tourism， further stimulating local consumption and attracting more visitors to the region．

Yang Junyi， deputy director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee， highlighted that the series of activities of the 2023 Xiqing Cultural Tourism Year is not only an important measure to promote the in－depth integration of cultural tourism in Xiqing district， but also a necessary action for Tianjin to vigorously promote the high－quality development of its cultural tourism industry．

During the launch ceremony， the main activities were introduced， and the leaders of Tianjin witnessed the signing of projects between Xiqing district and Tianjin art colleges， performing arts groups， the OTA platform， and financial institutions．

The 2023 Xiqing Cultural Tourism Year will last for 10 months， and will consist of ten major themed activities： the Grand Canal cultural tourism festival， camping carnival， leisure sports carnival， intangible cultural heritage display experience season， summer night market carnival， leisure tourism season， beautiful rural cultural tourism festival， autumn cultural tourism consumption season， food cultural tourism festival， and winter leisure cultural tourism festival， creating a good cultural tourism atmosphere and promoting local cultural tourism consumption． At the same time， a series of characteristic tourism routes and high－quality tourism plans are also being promoted．
