Paintings depicting Tianjin district to be published overseas

Baodi district of Tianjin held an exhibition of more than 60 traditional Chinese paintings by well－known masters on Feb11， showcasing Baodi’s cultural charm and the rapid changes in the last decade． Twenty－eight of the paintings were included in an album for publication overseas．

Jia Guangjian， head of the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts， said：＂Baodi boasts a profound cultural reputation． The works depicting the economic and social development of Baodi are expected to further promote the development of Baodi＇s cultural undertakings to achieve new heights．”

Yu Jianshi， head of the Academic Committee of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts， said that the exhibition provided an opportunity for the painters to reflect on daily life and ordinary people． He hoped that more opportunities would be provided for artists in the future．

Meng Qingzhan， head of the Baodi Academy of Painting and Calligraphy， said：＂The artistic concepts of artists from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts have positively affected Baodi painters with academic trends．”

Since 2022， the China Painting and Calligraphy News Agency and Baodi have jointly initiated activities with Chinese painters． The artists visited Baodi many times and created masterpieces reflecting the district’s features．
